About TAG Manufacturing
Since 2005, TAG Manufacturing has led the industry in durable, quality, reliable attachments for excavators, backhoes, wheel loaders and other heavy construction equipment. We serve dealers, rental companies, and OEMs across the nation with a full range of buckets and attachments to match the toughest jobs and applications. Designed and manufactured at our headquarters in Chattanooga, Tennessee, TAG buckets, thumbs, couplers, grapples and other attachments are adaptable to any brand of excavator or construction equipment.
The challenge
TAG Manufacturing was at an IT crossroads, albeit a common one for many manufacturers. Many of their systems and processes were reactionary or had been "glued together with bubble gum and tape" for several years. There was not a fully dedicated IT team in place for daily needs, architecture, or strategic planning around technology investment and security. The main concerns looming during this time: identifying and implementing a modern security posture and establishing operational effectiveness through the use of strategic IT.
The solution
As a result of the partnership established between TAG Manufacturing and StratusGrid, much of their hardware has been completely refreshed and modernized successfully, and some has even been replaced by migration of servers and applications to AWS (including their accounting system). The partnership has grown into a fully managed services relationship where TAG end-users rely on us for most if not all technology and IT support issues. Also, leadership feels their security posture has greatly improved and processes have been largely standardized across the organization.
